JURASSIC WORLD EVOLUTION PC VS PS4 MOVIE
Though punishing, and perhaps a little fickle, the game shines by letting players take over the movie parks and see how they’d run things differently.
JURASSIC WORLD EVOLUTION PC VS PS4 SIMULATOR
It’s an engrossing simulator game: Turn fossils into living creatures, keep your workers happy so you don’t get Dennis Nedry’d, and place that T-shirt shop in your preferred spot next to the velociraptors. But for the uninitiated, Jurassic World Evolution 2 lets you build your own Jurassic Park (or Jurassic Worlds, if you prefer the sequels). If you played the dinosaur expansion pack for Zoo Tycoon back in the day, you already know what I’m talking about. Jurassic World Evolution 2 is the follow-up to 2018’s fantastic park simulator. And in Jurassic World Evolution 2, building my dinosaur zoo felt like conquering millions of years of history. Ian Malcom famously said in Jurassic Park. These prehistoric creatures have no business being on our earth anymore, and I’m not sure I have any business pushing back against nature with my well-placed pond, guest pathing, attractions, and boba shop. That’s what I thought to myself - or shouted aloud in my office - during the toughest moments of Jurassic World Evolution 2. For everyone else, you might want to wait until Frontier talks more in depth about its support plans, or at least purchase it with the knowledge that it’s going to take a little more time before it Jurassic Park Evolution really hits its stride. The dinosaurs should’ve just stayed dead. Let’s put it this way: If you wanted to be a paleontologist when you were a kid, this game is worth a purchase today. For me, it absolutely is, but I have a feeling that I like dinosaurs and the Jurassic Park franchise a little more than your average gamer. The big question is whether or not this game is worth the asking price. I’m very much looking forward to seeing that timeline, and I hope that Frontier is taking the criticism here and elsewhere on the internet to heart.

That’s a great start, and the company plans to share a timeline of post-launch support soon. Frontier hasn’t really detailed plans for post-launch support yet, but it has indicated that it’s been listening to user feedback. Given six more months of development, Jurassic World Evolution could be the game I’ve been waiting 15 years for. The only problem is that the available area on the island is tiny, to the point where it feels like you have to make concessions instead of building the park you’d really like to build.

Here, you can build any building and create any dinosaur you’ve unlocked through the campaign with unlimited funds, allowing you to build what should be your dream park. At a certain point in the game, you unlock Isla Nublar – the setting for both the original Jurassic Park and Jurassic World. There are other small gripes I have with the game, but I think the biggest disappointment is with sandbox mode. This makes having enclosures where carnivores and herbivores live alongside each other – and the carnivores only hunt the herbivores when they’re hungry – impossible, and that’s something of a let down for me. For instance, herbivores don’t seem to move in herds and carnivores seem to kill everything on sight. Dinosaur AI feels a little limited at the moment. Another complaint I’ve seen is one of AI, and that’s one I tend to agree with more.
